Sweet Boy

July 12, 2017

Tripawds is a user-supported community. Thank you for your support!

Yoshi amazes me each day! He’s getting around like he’s been on 3 legs his whole life. We still have a long road ahead of us. Started to spit his pills out. Stinker!!! Enjoying each day and moments with an open heart. Not only with Yoshi, but with all my loved ones. Such a parent, cause I’m hoping he poops soon!!! Been adding organic pumpkin to his diet since yesterday. Swelling and bruising has gone down a lot since we’ve been warming the area. Deep breaths and lots of hugs 🙂

I’m glad he’s doing so well! I agree with you about enjoying time with everyone we love. This whole experience certainly changes your perspective, and I think makes you more grateful for everything.

Yoshi and pills! Luckily for us, Zato scarfs down pills with whatever he’s eating, but we have a couple of pups who can get a pill out of anything, even a smushed up pill pocket!

Yoshi is a precious, beautiful boy, and I can tell he feels pretty well! We’re so happy for you!

He started to spit out the 3 Tramadol. Can’t wait to get him off of these!! I hope Zato is healing and recovering well.
      Best Wishes and warmest regards,

    Susie & Yoshi,
Love those pictures he looks so pretty out in the sun and holding his toy, so cute. I’m so happy to hear that he is already doing so well on three legs – way to go Yoshi!
You and Tracy are right, these experiences do change the way we view each day and the time we get to spend with those we love.
Luckily Rusty’s motto is eat it now and ask questions later, but my Lucy could detect a pill in almost anything. Until the day she discovered they were laced, I could buy the Berber baby chicken sticks (in glass jars with the other baby food) and hide pills in those.
    Keep it up Yoshi.

      Amy & Rusty,
He takes the Rimadyl like it’s a treat, but the other 4 is no dice. Peanut butter seems to be the only way to get him to take those pills, and I have to pry his mouth open to get the peanut butter in. He loves peanut butter, but knows there’s something hiding in it. We are so blessed to have family and a community to help us through these difficult times. Surely makes you appreciate the little things, we take for granted. Rusty sounds adorable and she’s lucky to have a sibling. We were thinking after Yoshi recovers, adopting a sister. Don’t know if that would be best, since he has an only “dog child” attitude.
      Take care,
      Yoshi & Susie
